About Us

Michael Newman (FRICS) 

Michael Newman is the owner and mainstay of the business and he still has total enthusiasm and commitment after 45 years as a Surveyor, Valuer and Estate Agent. His knowledge and experience about properties in the area is well respected, and appreciation from clients and applicants is reflected in many excellent testimonials the business receives.

Being a professionally qualified firm Newman’s are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and are proud of their reputation.

Michael has been keen on sport all his life and can sometimes be spotted hacking round local golf courses with patient friends.  He is also a season ticket holder at AFC Bournemouth.

Michelle Hawkins

Michelle joined Newman’s in 2014, having previously worked in Estate Agency with a local lettings company for four years. She works as part of our sales team and manages the office with confidence, experience and a smile. She responds to any queries and is usually the first person you will speak to when you call or visit. She copes with all the demands of a busy team, and 'multi-tasking' is her forte.

Michelle is local and appreciates the outdoor life in this beautiful part of the country.  She always cycles to work - rain or shine!

Rebecca Doddrell

Rebecca was born in Bournemouth and after attending Bournemouth School for Girls she spent time working abroad in Australia and Spain. 

She started her career in Estate Agency in 2010, and we were delighted when she joined the firm in 2014. Since then, she has become a vital member of the Newman's team. Her professionalism, local knowledge and calm approach have proved invaluable to clients and applicants. They appreciate her 'can do' attitude and guidance through the sales process – dealing with any problems along the way.

She is married with a teenage son, and away from the office, her busy life includes time with family and friends, making most of the beautiful beaches and Dorset countryside.

Denise Newman

After working for over 30 years with Newmans, Denise still enjoys being part of the sales team. Although now only working part time, she still brings in new ideas and has a continued passion for the business. 

She has a renewed love of tennis, and combined with family commitments, remains as busy as ever. She has been married to Michael for 35 years.
